Privacy
Providing trustworthy and transparent products and services is at the core of our mission. That’s why we go to such great lengths to provide both confidentiality and security for your customer information. As a part of our work in protecting your information, we strive to provide the knowledge you need to be your own best advocate.
Security and email
Please know that email, including email features of our First Federal website, are not necessarily secure against interception. For your safety, do not provide sensitive or private information (such as your account or social security number) via email but rather send it by postal mail or stop by one of our branches. We also recommend that you deposit any out-going mail containing sensitive information in a post office collection box or directly at the post office and not leave confidential mail in an unsecured mailbox for pick-up.
Never respond to an email asking for personal information
Not only do we recommend that you never reply, but also that you do not click on any website links included in the email. If you need to follow up with the supposed sender, type their web address directly in your browser window. At First Federal, we will never ask you to verify personal information over the phone or via email. If you receive a phone call or email asking for personal information, please call us directly, so that we can take measures to help protect the personal information of all our customers.
